Sills/Front Crossmember
My offside sill has rotted badly and needs replacing/repair, would I be correct in thinking that Barnsley Auto Panels are the only supplier of a repair panel? The same goes for the front cross member but can anyone suggest a repair panel source?

Front crossmember here: http://www.mazdabongo.com/catalog/body- ... all-models. Any decent bodyshop will be able to fashion a sill repair panel for you, but the ones you refer to are a low cost solution assuming they are a good fit & don't require any re-work,

Re: Sills/Front Crossmember
i cut the front cross member off a scrapper, its only about 150 spot welds to drill out and plug weld, still cheaper than a newby though

Re: Sills/Front Crossmember
Ours front cross member rotted, but it was just the lower part of the box section. So the only welding was a new flat bit of metal, which I made a template for out of cardboard and gave it to the mechanic to weld. Cost me about £40 !
Similar with the sills - new patch of metal welded on after I had prepared the area myself with angle grinder !
See this link. Half way down the thread is my guide to the repair.
