Best Engine Oil for 2ltr Petrol 2004

Can anyone recommend the best engine oil for 2ltr petrol 2004 bongo , its going in for a service and the mechanic cannot get any specs for my vehicle . Thanks :D

Purely personal, but I use Elf oils...Fully or semi-synthetic...I have the diesel, but there are choices in their range...Shell oils are my second choice. I only ever use known branded oils.
