Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
Got this on the calendar ... but we may only be able to make the Fri/Sat night
Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
hope to make the four days work permitting/fingers crossed
Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
That shouldn't be a problem. I will finalise details shortly, but it will probably be a minimum booking requirement of 2 nights.Mum2Fergus wrote:Got this on the calendar ... but we may only be able to make the Fri/Sat night

Oh I am so jealous! It looks lovely, but it's 600 miles! I've got a friend that lives in Kyle of Lochalsh too but - oh so many miles. I know it's not many for Muz but for me ................

BOOKED!! and soon to be back in Bongo ownership.
I see there is free fishing available on site. It might be a bit early for good Trout fishing but I do fancy taking some Fly fishing tackle, and having a cast.
Might be able to give a little lesson on Fly fishing if anyone's interested.

Hmmm! Donald. Looks like I will be getting my fly rod out of the attic if I make the meet. Been up there for over 20 years so I hope it does not fall appart on me on the day. My waders definitly will unless I can find enough patches to cover all the holes in them.

We're still hoping to get to this but won't be able to confirm leave etc until a couple of weeks before
If all the places have gone by then we'll still come and just camp in a different bit of the site, we don't need hook up and will be bringing a tent.
It's a beautiful spot.
Donald - so glad you will be "with Bongo" again soon, red squirrel meets wouldn't be the same without you and your washing machine drum

Talking of washing machine drums....Are you allowed camp fires? Can not see any info on their web site.
I should be with Bongo at the begining of May, once I get my redundancy money. It's a P reg (new shape front) 2wd auto, so a wee bit different than my last.
Still have the old one on the drive, awaiting alarms, white dials, stainless exhaust, and anything else worth removing, so I can add to the new one. Would like to dismantle old one for spares etc, but no room so will have to sell as a complete unit.

I keep hearing traffic reports about massive delays on the Kessock Bridge, to get to the bash do we have to travel over it from the Lothians

Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
That is the most logical route. If you go the Invergarry way you'll add about an hour onto your journey anyway
Re: Scottish Bongo Bash 2013
Been over the umpteen times to go to invergordon never had any real probs.five ten mins most.gonna rough camp at culloden tourist info just prior to inver on the duel carriageway
