None of the Bongos have cam chains as far as I am aware. They all have belts. If yo have no knowledge of whether and when it has been changed then get it done now as it can cause a lot of damage if it breaks. If you let us know what engine you have 2.5 diesel or 2L petrol or 2.5V6 petrol we can give a more detailed answer.

It should be changed every 60,000 miles or 60 months (whichever is sooner). It's the same engine as Ford Ranger 2.5 TD:

If there's any doubt that it has been changed within either period, it is always better to change it to be on the safe side. I've had a cambelt go on a different Ford diesel engine. Fortunately, it happened pulling out of a parking space and only bent 3 valves, but it cost £500 10 years ago to repair.
