.. I got my mirrors to fold on locking too. But lucky i didn't have to put any loom for the module through the door for that one, just picked it up behind the mirror switch!

The "re-inforcement" is just the original loom cover/tidy cut down to half where it split/perished on the hinge clip, along with a few of the wires underneath....

Update!
OK well the horn relay was fine; one of the 12V feeds was only 11V and driving no current; new feed and beep beep
As for the windows three yes THREE broken wires in the door hinge; all sorted and everything working
MOT Friday and I and the van are completely waxoyled
