Grease nipple

Looking under the drivers seat and where the atf dipstick should be, (mine is manual) is see what looks like a grease nipple, too dark now for photo but will try and get one, looks to me like it is on part of the gearbox, I may and probably am wrong, can anyone tell me what it is attached to,lol.

Are you sure it's not the bleed nipple on the clutch slave cylinder?

i have a manual, the clutch slave is on the passy side, but i cannot think what you are thinking of.

i will have a look tomora or look in lush projects.

anything on this look like it.

I would also suggest it is the bleed nipple for the clutch..#33-691

awesome thanks guys gears do feel a bit "notchy" will have to check fluid levels.

Not a megga problem but there should be a rubber cover on the nipple ..

It looks like the master cylinder and nipple are both iron / steel .. if you have need to bleed the system .. be careful .. as on 'old' motors they are prone to rusting / seizing and in some cases the nipple breaking off ..!!

Although looking at your pic. again there does seem to be some 'oily' coating (hopefully NOT brake fluid) which will give some protection from the elements ..

it shares the fluid with the brake system, they share a common res mate.
