Horn started all on its own and would not stop

Post by somaRich » Wed Apr 09, 2014 8:05 pm

My wife was driving our Bongo today and the horn started sounding for no apparent reason it stayed on for a whole 20mins. When she finally gave up trying to fix it and drove off it stopped on its own. Our Bongo came with an after-market Momo steering wheel, I havn't taken this off yet but has anyone had this happen to them?

Doesn't the horn switch feedback down the column via the clock spring ? If the wheel has been changed maybe that is damaged?

That's a good idea, I'll have a look tomorrow and see if there are any bare wires.
