Great bit of kit is the Fiamma rear cycle rack which can take up to four bikes (currently set up for two) . It also doubles as a carrier for the second item ,a Fiamma Ultrabox 360 .These boxes are the perfect width and depth for the rear of the Bongo and can carry all sorts of bits and pieces such as picnic seats ,hook up cable etc. It comes with quick removal fittings and locks with keys. Open to reasonable offers for either or both .Email me if interested .

Re: Bongo accessories
Sad day - I can still remember you giving me advice when I was thinking of buying a Bongo. What are your future plans?vanvliet wrote:I am selling my Bongo this summer and so my various accessories have to go but they are too big to send any distance. If any one down south fancies these items the Chances are that you may be able to set up a relay using the Scottish and English based forum members attending the Scottish bash next Month.

I am due to retire by the end of the year and so we will be buying a bigger van for the grand Euro tour!

More stuff - pair of black MX5 MK2 seats. They can be made to fit the Bongo. The passenger one fits straight in but the drivers seat needs simple brackets made up to fit the Bongo mounting position

Re: Bongo accessories
Stainless steel twin rail roof fitting Allows a Fiamma Caravanstore to be attached and carried on the top rail .The bottom rail is then used on site to attach a Kyham drive away awning. Special stainless steel brackets attach to the existing mounting points on the roof
Also selling a Flambeau 'Tailgator' box for rear fiamma or similar rack or inside the van to make up part of a bed (same height as seats)

Just spotted this. Can you confirm the carry bike for VWT4 fits Bongo? Can you keep the rear mirror?mikeonb4c wrote:vanvliet wrote:I am selling my Bongo this summer and so my various accessories have to go but they are too big to send any distance. Fiamma's dedicated Bongo/Merc Vito carrybike is a lot more £££'s

Thanks
Derek
Re: Bongo accessories
Neither of the two racks were made to fit the Bongo but both do the job. I like the lower rack height of the T4 version.I took the mirror off but I have seen them fitted .
I am afraid that mine is now sold . I have yet to advertise the Fiamma back box outside the forum so last chance folks

Re: Bongo accessories
Thanks for this, sounds like a T4 version is what I need..no problems with the box obscuring number plate, lights etc?

Re: Bongo accessories
The Vito may well be a better fit than the T4 re bracket angles /tube length I have no idea as I have never tried to fit one .
Nope. The Fiamma box or bikes do not obscure the number plate on the T4. It is set a bit lower which I think is a more stable carry and the bikes are easier to lift on to it . The wide ( same width as Bongo) but not too deep 360 back box sits neatly on the rack and is best used to carry light but bulky items like seats n stuff and they are lockable. I used to also use a couple of cargo straps on min

Re: Bongo accessories
Many thanks for this. The Vito/Bongo version looks like the box will sit higher than the T4 one, so as you managed fine with the T4, I think I'll go for that.
Cheers

Re: Bongo accessories
I think that it may also be possible to drill holes lower down on the Vito one to allow the cradle to sit lower down if that is an issue
