It was an option and there are a few around. It's more leather-effect than proper hide I believe. I saw one on Monday at Topsham Car Sales but didn't pay close attention to the upholstery.

I've seen a few with that upholstery/colour scheme on here and on ebay

Nice looking Bongo. The prices look realistic too, unlike some dealers round here who want silly money for a twelve year old van.

Hi
These seats aren't leather, seems like some sort of soft vinyl. Grey is hard wearing, green has sort of suede feel to it, and is vented with small holes pierced throughout. Seems to be easy enough to live with, comfortable and stay clean for light colours.
Hope this helps.

Hi
I think there are religious reasons why Japanese vehicles are rarely fitted with leather interiors. I remember when I worked at Portbury dock that if leather seats were ordered then the factory fitted fabric seats were removed and leather seats fitted at Portbury.
Same thing applied to most of the Jap makers that came through there.
Don't know what happened to all the brand new fabric seats that came out - I suppose they were shipped back to Japan.
