Just peel at them, some Tardis tar remover helps soften the glue, as does some heat, but no matter how careful you are the paint comes away in places.Steptoe wrote:How are you removing the old stickers - mine are also looking bad, but what's still on there seems to be stuck pretty well. Any suggestions for best way to remove them?

How long do they need the vehicle.
I just need to hope the solar panel bond on brackets arrive in time so I can get them on before it's painted.
Do the company have a name for that colour, its the same colour I am looking for, or do the mix per code.
Thanks.

I believe they mix to match.rita wrote:Mark Elvin wrote:Same colour as the lower body half, 3-4 hours to do the job.rita wrote:What colour are you going for.

Obviously it's a different coating to paint, so there may be some variation in colour, but they said they can get it close enough that you'd not tell the difference.

The company is called Bristol Dip Designs, a friend of mine is having his entire pickup done there today, so I'll be able to see the workmanship before I commit finally.philpdr wrote:Where are you having it done?

Re: TARTING UP THE AUTO ROOF
Just found a place near me that does Plasti dipping, ive asked for a quote.Mark E, can you post a picture of your roof after its been dipped please.
Re: TARTING UP THE AUTO ROOF
I've been considering plasti dip for the roof but I'm a bit worried about it being a bit fragile for low hanging branches, as it's removable I can imagine ripping it off driving through the country lanes near here.
Does the gloss finish make it more durable?
