ABS sensor under dash. What's it called?

Post by Cathryn » Fri Jun 27, 2014 6:33 pm

Been told we may need a new abs sensor (not in the wheels) under the dashboard. Mechanic calls it a g sensor but not finding anything online. Any ideas anyone? I want to find out how much they are.

look on this link.
you will see a sensor that is in the center of the dash, maybe this is one you need.
click on the dark numbers on the drawing then it will highlight part numbers in the right hand margin.

Thanks for that. Am I right in saying it's the 437G0 part? Anyone know where I can buy one from? Nothing showing up on ebay :(

yes.
when you click the number on the drawing it shows in the margin an S O number im not sure but i think this is the number you need, try ringing most good mazda dealers, they can order parts.
is yours a 4 wheel drive, the part says it is for a 4wd.
others with more knowledge of these drawings/part numbers may help.

Yep 4WD. Will ring around tomorrow. Hopefully it's not too expensive! Thanks for your help.

Not sure where you are in Devon, but Bongobits in Plymouth have a few in for breaking and their prices are quite reasonable. Alternatively, try Allan's also in Plymouth. He would be able to confirm the diagnosis and fit you a replacement if required.

Hiya, it was Allan we took it to today (very nice chap, by the way!) he wasn't sure of its proper name and suggested we buy one from JL Bongo (I think) on ebay but I can't find him. Will contact Allen tomorrow to double check what we need.
