I'm confident someone will be able to advise re this frequently discussed problem.
Suffering some significant coolant loss (coolant alarm came on/stayed on). Immediately stopped and checked level - sure enough - level was low (below the sensor).
Topped up - ok for a few hours - then problem reappeared.
Started Bongo today (after topping up) - idling outside the house no problem - although the fan cut in after a few minutes - decided to drive it around the block to see if it would leak quicker under pressure.
No alarm sounding this time, but a few drops of liquid (assume 'water'?) appeared (roughly in line where the passenger door opens (next to the sliding door pillar.)
Coolant level not low enough to bring alarm on - but after a few minutes of listening (with engine off) could hear the drip, drip on to the plastic cowling on the underside of the bongo.
Hoping it is something like a hose - hoping alarm will have saved any major damage!
Advice as always appreciated.
