We are hoping in the next few days to start recovering the seats on the Bongo.
We're going to keep the grey velour material that covers the side/backs of the seat, but carefully unpick the face panels of the seats to use as templates & then stitch these panels back into the original.
We removed the covers from the rear row of seats that we removed when the conversion was fitted & washed them in the washing machine, they came up very well, so we'll do this with the main seat covers before we unpick the stitching, that way we will hopefully end up with something that looks respectable.
We are using a material that's called "spacer fabric" it's the same fabric that Honda use on their low volume production stuff, it's very hard wearing & really easy to clean.
Were doing the center of the seat face in a black material & the sides of the faces in grey, the material is this stuff - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Spacer-fabric ... 19eafe5c0c
My only worry is that we are biting off more than we can chew. We'll see.
When I re-fit the new covers I'm going to use plastic cable tie in place of the copper hog rings, that way if any of the fabric is slightly lose I should be able to pull it a little tighter.

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
