There are several 'cheapo' versions on eBay .. but you pays your money so it's your choice ..
But for quality .. service and personal back up ...
http://www.coolantalarm.co.uk/shop/inde ... roductId=3 ...
... Is generally a good choice and favored by many owners ..... ( I have one) ..!!

Hi Silage, and welcome to the Forum.
We have on of Haydn's, as shown above, and it has just saved us from a very expensive repair.
Used Bongy on Monday last - all fine.
Turned key to go to work Thursday - alarm sounds. Have a look - no coolant.
Flat Bed to garage, bleed hose leaking, all fixed.
No alarm would have resulted in a blown head - Get the good one, oh yes, and pay attention to it when it does its job. There are so many tales of it being ignored.

Re: coolant alarm fitting
Re-read post, it is a fairly easy DIY fit or just ask your garage to do it.
While I'm on a roll do, please, use a Bongo Savvy garage for any work involving the cooling system, or bone up on it if you are a handy DIYer.
Enjoy your Bongo and the Forum & Club.

If you order direct from the manufacturer there is a secret code word to get Forum users a small discount.

Re: coolant alarm fitting
Hi
I can only add to the above and say that the alarm is fail-safe, and the alarm is loud, and it's saved my bacon twice, and one time it enabled me to stop in seconds, and the first time was on the drive!
Cheers
Helen

Thanks for all the support, piggy back fuses, never heard of them till now! sounds like a plan.
The Bongo we looked at is a 2.5 D 1997 with 63,000 on the clock, fresh import, some minor body touch up required but for age i did'nt think it was too bad. Cambelt, serviced, and undersealed, mot, with 3 mouth warry on engine( usual dealer one) and six mouth on all appliances in new full side conversion.
One thing i have noticed with all the bongos i have looked at whilst deciding is the main front light seem to look cloudy not clear? i know it has passed the mot so must be legal but would like other views with more experience of the Bongo beast.

Re: coolant alarm fitting
Silage has gone for one of ours, as indeed do most of the major dealers.
