HELP: Central locking playing up

Post by mikeonb4c » Fri Jul 24, 2015 3:23 pm

Got a weird one. Intermittently, when I unlock the drivers door, the others doors refuse to open at the same time. When I turn the key to lock the drivers door, I can see/hear the lock/plungers on the other doors moving, as though they are receiving the signal. I'm guessing then that door wiring loom is not the culprit, but what else might it be. Could the master unit have a (wiring) fault for the 'unlock' command? Any thoughts and suggestions on fixes gratefully received :-)

Old Bongos eh - doncha just love 'em (loud chorus of YES) :lol:

Hi
Are you keen on Bongos then, Mike??? :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
Ah...low battery voltage?....OR...sometimes it might just be a bit of lubricating necessary??? I had that problem.
Cheers

Door loom, there are two wires involved open/close, sounds like the Open is intermittent,
The White/Black and the Yellow/Red on the lefthand side from switch to module;

Cheers Geoff, that would make sense. Given these looms are ageing and I've not time for diy, maybe I should splash out on a new loom. Any suggestions on best place to buy one and whether they would be hard for an autoelectrician to fit?

Should be simple to fit - two plug & socket! I think the shop was doing one at a price :-(

Hi
It's a DIY job, Mike......Somehow, I thought you'd already done yours????...What made me think that, I don't know....anyway, it's no harder than plugging in servos on one of your R/C gliders...
Cheers

Just back from a great little meet at allithwaite. Thanks for tips on looms, might buy one. Been getting back into full size gliding at Sutton Bank but haven't flown my electric model glider once yet this year, too little spare time in this patchy summer, must get retired hey ho.
