Passport Problems

Talk about non-Bongo stuff. BUT KEEP IT CLEAN....there are children watching. Smut, filth, and anything offensive will not be tolerated and removed immediately.

Passport Problems

Post by MountainGoat » Sat Sep 12, 2015 1:13 pm

After 3 months of nit picking the the passport service has finally issued my new passport. Despite sending them my old passport and my birth certificate the clowns have issued my new one with the wrong date of birth on it. Saying that my birthday is in June and not July as it should be.

Anyone else had this problem?

Will it make a blind bit of difference and should I send it back to be corrected.

Send it back if you've got the time. Any incorrect info on your passport can cause all sorts of problems from airline tickets to immigration and if you ever have to use it for i.d., if it doesn't tally with whats already on record, you're stuffed!

No Ady I don't think it was latin, more like a Lankyshire and Scouse problem. When they asked for my birth certificate in addition to my old passport I in the first instance sent them a photocopy of my original one which was falling apart. They refused to accept it so I spent another couple of weeks getting an official copy from Preston. Every thing should have fine from then on with my date of birth on both my old passport and my birth certificate. But apparently people from Liverpool where the new passport was issued must have problems reading English these days.

It is now 28 years since I left Liverpool so I am a bit out of touch these days. I did not know that Scouse had completely taken over from the Queens English in the pool.

No Bob , they added an extra month to my age. I'm thinking of leaving things as they are and claiming the months pension that they owe me.
