Anyone else get hot front wheels after a short 20 mile run? There is one big downhill at the end which I have to use the breaks on.
This unusual? Never really noticed before but was putting air in to the tyre and the alloy felt hot to the touch

Yes they do, after a motorway run they'll be too hot too touch.

Re: Hot alloys
Haven't used my alloys for a while but my steels don't get especially hot. I had an episode of brake fade some years back after going up and down the Yorkshire Dales for two hours heavily loaded. Since then i'm religious about using the HOLD and S options on the autobox to make best use of the diesels significant braking power, so brakes aren't worked harder than necessary.
Re: Hot alloys
I keep an infrared thermometer in the Bongo and of course can't remember readings I've got now, but I think the centre of the alloy has got to around 50-60 degrees before.

Re: Hot alloys
I've just done a 20 mile journey in the fens, so no hills and the centres of the alloys range from 38-45 degrees c. No idea if that is normal, just reporting!

Worth making sure it's not your wheel bearings.
