Sticking speedo

Hi folks.

I have a 2ltr tin top. The speedo sticks at 40mph. Slight tap and it moves again. Why is this happening. Bit irritating. Any quick fixes?

most conversions get a second card overlaid on existing speedo to give mph

may be thats curled

Check the clearance between the needle/pointer and the dial face and the glass, if ok check connector/plug at back of unit is clean and secure.
