Tv in france

Post by fatcatlawyer » Tue Sep 13, 2016 4:58 pm

Next year if all goes to plan I hope to be able to follow some of the tour. However last time we saw the tour in person the peloton went past in less than 20 seconds. What I want to do is follow it on tv and then see it live and follow it again on tv.
Now for the query. My radio has just given up t
he ghost and I have seen on eBay radios for cars that have analogue tv incorporated in the head set. Will I be able (using a digital to analogue converter ) be able to enjoy French tv? Using that method or will there be other snags that will thwart my wishes?
If this query should be on the going abroad thread please move it there

I think your best bet is to buy a 12v flat screen TV with the hd freeview built in or free sat built in to the tv
Will the cycling be on normal freeview channels or sat channels
I have a 12v freeview tv it doesn't pull loads of battery power ( but the modern ones are even better with low power consumption )
Mine will run on a 110a leisure battery for about 3 days (6hrs a day) before batt starts to flatten
I have a 100w solar panel now which keeps the battery topped up no probs
They are very small screens on radio tv and with the converta and freeview box and aerial booster running they would pull more power than a 18" with it all built in

You can get flip down TVs which some have mounted to roof of bongo
You can get a 18" flatscreen freeview for £70- £100 no probs of Internet

And most of these new TV can record to a memory stick
So you could watch your self watching the race later on TV

When it's my turn to stay in and babysit at glastonbury festival
I can watch the band on TV and listen to it live out me window ( there's about a 2 second delay ) :D
