Price Increase on Genuine Mazda Parts

Post by Ian » Tue Oct 04, 2016 1:34 pm

A year ago £1 bought just under 190 yen. Now it will only buy a little over 130 yen, a drop of more than 30%. Regardless of the reasons for this (the main one being continued market uncertainty about the impact of Brexit) the result for Bongonauts is that genuine Mazda spares imported from Japan have gone up quite considerably, especially electrical items.

One example is the front heater motor. The wholesale price from Mazda Japan last November was £81, it is now £97. An increase of just under 20%.

Once existing stock levels have run down this is bound to have a knock-on affect on retail prices here in the UK.

£190 is the new price for non-members. For members there is a 12.5% discount.

The revised members price is £126 plus delivery and VAT. But other places on the web will be cheaper because they will have old stock, and they can buy in bulk. We only buy 2 at a time.

Aye people still blaming Brexit for everything, yet, funny thing is we have not left yet! All the Remoaners who can't get over themselves loosing the vote are still talking down the country. The Marmite saga was disgraceful and as for Nissan I would have cut them loose. They are a bunch of blackmailers. When you look at the money and support Nissan has had from the Northeast you would have thought they would be grateful but to pull a stunt at the last minute was also disgraceful. As for the threat of moving to France, good luck with that one!

Rant over, please carry on!
