Fuel Cut Off Switch Diesel post 2000

Post by mike_glos » Sat Jul 01, 2017 4:24 pm

Hi All,

I'm a bit stuck on fitting fuel cut off switch to 2.5 diesel as per the Bongo Fury fact sheet.

I have found the black/white stripped cable on top of the injector pump, but can't intercept there as not enough of the wire is exposed.

Can anyone recommend a better location to intercept this wire?

Thanks,

Mike

Mumm, couple I've looked at had sufficient to intercept. Its a direct power feed from the fuse but the same circuit also feeds ECU and several solenoids along the way;

link 22 lower right corner feeds the solenoid on the pump, lower left below;

You could probably intercept nearer the fuse or at the fuse itself, but the feed to the pump solenoid is preferred if you get sufficient wire slack.

Is it not possible to remove the nut from the Fuel stop switch ,remove feed wire then fit the tails from your new isolator switch, one to the FSS and the other to the feed that you have just removed.

Good Luck.

Thanks All,

Will have another look at tomorrow and decide what to do.

Thanks for the diagrams.
