Off to France
Not long now until our first Bongo trip abroad. Thanks to the advice on here I think I have everything I need. One question (which I am struggling to find an answer to) Can I take butane gas canisters on the Ferry? Just the small ones to use with a small £10 gas cooker?

Re: Off to France
In the 20 + years that I have been going to France I have never even been asked if I have gas canisters in my car or on my motorcycle. I cannot think how many campers who traverse the channel without gas on board. Worry not its never been an issue in relation to being on a ferry. I was asked to show my gas cannisters when about to get on the chunnel. That was about eight years ago no issue recently.

Take plenty as you may struggle to find new ones in France unless they are CampingGaz ones.

Re: Off to France
Re last post seconded managed to buy two cannisters in a casino hypermarket bit steep at 6 euros though. These were not gaz but generic ones Gaz cannisters were 4 euro each. Also little warning for those using that type of cooker some of the cheaper ones only have 180 grammes whereas the slightly more expensive ones have 220 grammes.
