Hi
Easy question first - my roof struts creak and grown when putting up and down - can I lubricate them and if so what with please.
Also I am based in Kent and my mosquito netting on my pop top now has several holes large enough for seagulls to get through!
Are there any Pop-top people in my area or at least closer than Gateshead please.
Sorry one last question - The company that done my conversion are now no longer trading (321Away) I have a tall cupboard door which
I would like to change to a tambour door is this possible as a retro-fit please?
Many thanks
Mandy

Re: Replacement roof canvas (SE) - lubricating roof struts
The struts should NOT be lubricated, just polished with a clean rag, they have lubrication inside the upper half which ensures that the seals remain ok, mixing with other lubricants can damage the seals and often leads to more muck sticking to the pistons that form the lower half. The groaning noise is very common. If the struts are getting on and have problems getting the roof to the top of its lift (bleeping doesn't stop) then this company can replace them at resonable prices http://www.sgs-engineering.com/car-boot ... azda/bongo

I would also be very interested to hear of any companies that can replace the fly netting, but maybe closer to the Isle of Wight or near south coast. If not, anywhere! Keen to get it fixed.
