I could have kissed them!πŸ˜³πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ so...the bar steward who was trying to sell me a van I went to view ...was lying ! Further told these chaps that I was offered three grand for it...both their jaws dropped! I’ve had a close call here . Seems myvan will be good for a few more years ...πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— just #hows there still are bar stewards out here . I’m now keeping my van and having the kitchen unitetc either removed or unit cutdown...so I have more space to move around myfixed bed. If I’m selling the whole unit...any ideas on what to charg3 would be most welcome ! I now need to apologise to the original garage who did all the expensive work .
Thanks again everyone for trying to help me....I’m now a very happy...but ageing bunny again. πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
Great news Pam. Have to admit my laser eye was on whoever said the sub frame was rotten (I don't think people like Bongo Spares and Kloonsy would do Β£3.5k of welding work only to miss something vital!) and I did wonder if it was someone trying to spook you into selling cheap etc. You're right that whoever did the work needs a gracious and grovelling apology and I'm sure they'll really appreciate that and everyone can move on as friends (though I don't see why you shouldn't mention to them the name of the bar steward who told you porkies ha ha ;-) ).

Hope you now get to enjoy Bongoing (or some other van) for a long time to come :-) Hard to advise on price esp without seeing it but a good look around at prices they're going for on facebook etc might give a clue. If its an old one then it can be hard to get more than Β£3-5k even converted.
