Fridge not cooling

Post by Mcdonald » Sun Aug 17, 2025 10:04 am

Hi all,

I'm on the road and my fridge has stopped cooling. Any help would be amazing!

I have a vitrifrigo C 42L fridge. The fridge has been on and running for 24hours but the fridge section is still warm and the freezer section is cool but not freezer temp.

2 days before I blew a fuse but we got it back up and running by replacing this. It was cold for about 24 hours and then stopped cooling. We have checked all the fuses and cleaned the external coils. We can see the external fan working and can hear the compressor working.

Any ideas of what else is we can do?

Try leaving it off for 24 hours - sounds like it may need defrosting (ie maybe ice blocking coils behind or the internal fridge vents). Also try pouring hot water down the internal fridge vent, if that fridge has one.
