Fog lights

Post by Greenmachine96 » Sun Aug 17, 2025 10:24 pm

The front fog light switch doesn't do anything. It doesn't light up when pressed and certainly no fog lights come on.

I've changed the switch over and the bulb. No joy. Haven't changed the fog bulbs but assumedly the light on the switch should still operate, or does it not come on to indicate problems with the bulbs?

If the switch has a light in it it is used to indicate that the switch is ON nothing else. Have you checked the fuse for the fog lamps and connection's back to the battery ?

My front Spot/Fog lights only operate when my lights are on full beam.
Have you tried them like that.?

The original wiring means that the Fog lights can only be used when the sidelights are on, however lots of people have added there own fog lights and add there own wiring rather than using the existing loom and switches. The Fuse for the standard fog lights is the 15 Amp in the fuse block under the bonnet

Thanks
Fuses good
Switch lights up green with the main light switch. Apologies, I thought the little bulb inside lit up when the button was pressed - but it's just illuminated so you can see it in the dark).
Still no lights from fogs even with lights on and full beam.
Is there anything on the dash to say "fog light on" like on UK cars?

These are Def factory fitted originals.

Thanks

If you look outside on the road in front of you then you can normally tell if the lights are on, otherwise they wouldn't be very effective ;-)
