Hi all
Newbie here with a fixer upper needing your help. It's a 1999 4x4 2.5 TD
Thanks to g8dhe for the info supplied on another thread I posted my quetion to, and the advice to post as a new thread.
Our ABS pump is leaking, part number S38J487AO, I've checked the chassis number against the listing as suggested which marries up to the code on the actual pump we've taken off the van.
My question is: Does it HAVE to be the same model number exactly, or will another with a similar number fit for eg SH54437AO?
And will one off a 2WD fit a 4WD if they are interchangable?
Many thanks for any help advice on this, we've bought a fixer upper which is fighting us, but we will win lol (hopefully)
ABS pump replacement, will others fit?

Also would anyone have the ABS pump bleeding sequence please, so we can get all our ducks in a row. Thanks
Re: ABS pump replacement, will others fit?
Can anyone advise as to whether the ABS Pump has to be the exact same model number please?
Was hoping there'd be a range that would be compatible.
Thanks

Re: ABS pump replacement, will others fit?
Its not often that the pump has failed in the Bongo's its normally the wheel sensors/wiring back to the pump itself that causes problems.
Has the pump itself been shown to have failed, if you read the error codes then it will normally indicate which sensor(s) are a problem.
