The hold light is flashing after about 20 min driving and goes into safe mode.
I have read the fact sheets and done the diagnostics but it seams to be showing unlisted numbers.
so I need a automatic gearbox specialist in or farly close to Weston-super-Mare, quickly as We are going to the meet next weekend in Maidenhead.
Any one got any Ideas?

You could try Pro-tech in Nailsea. We haven't actually used them but they sell and service Bongo's & they are a Japanese import & 4x4 specialist.

			Its fixed
I looked under the seats and crawled under the car prodded and poked at things took it out for a test and it went wrong again so took it to a car dealer and told it if it did not behave it would end up here as we would replace it. I then crawled home depressed.
I remembered that it went wrong trying to use the hold in Burrington Coomb, so after letting it reset, 30 min or so' I switched back on and turned the hold on and off a few times and that seems to have fixed it.
Some how there was a problem engaging the hold and it put the gear box into a panic and it shut down.
My wife says it was because she knew her shoes and bag were unlucky so changed them the last time we went out and that fixed it.
Im not sure if it was my fiddling with the hold or me threatening to sell the beast.
My money is on the threat.

It won't bite! Honestly.
I can't say I use it much, but on those winding descents is where it comes in handy.

Took it out for a long run today to Longleat where we were going yesterday and had no trouble.
I have not seen the hold button being mentioned as a cause any where on the site so may be worth remembering.
I cleared the problem by letting it reset (30 odd min wait) then turned the ignition on but did not start engin and switched the hold on and off a few times, I think the hold did not engage fully and so made the trans sensor show a fault.

Like your style Westonwarrior. Personally I use a branch a la Basil Fawlty to give the Bongo a damned sound thrashing if she misbehaves

I use the hold button on a regular basis, we live in a hilly area, so utilise the hold button, it is there for a reason.
