any news on the fault on the Bongo
did you get it fixed, please update us
Regards Frankie
What a time I've had with the electrics !! I could not find the fuse that was mentioned by you, but I did get the auto electrician to sort the problem...on Tues. I set off for my first overnught stay on a site in Threshfield, Skipton. A lovely place ..Wood Nook, would highly recommend here. Used all my onboard new conversion/stuff...all great. Fell in love with my bongo all over again...

I was so upset and very down, wondering if my trip would ever take place; I even considered selling the bongo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Later telephoned the auto electrician again. He came today and informed me that It did not have a split level converter....and that it had been wired to my main battery just as a second battery.............AND it is not a leisure battery, just a normal one. Hence when using lights/socket etc it drained both batteries at the same time !!
I am now going to contact the firm who first fit the conversion/fit battery/tray and give them a chance to explain why the poor fitting. Also the actual unit [chipboard] has broken away from its rear bolt fixing, taking a chunk of the unit with it.
I now have a split relay fitted and had more fuses changed...again.
Fingers crossed that this works ??????????? I must now do another overnight to test it again.
Thanks for your interest Frankie. There is another post from achap who is an auto electrician[forget his name just now!], so hopefully all the info that has come across re this problem will be of some help to others.
Will inform the whole site re the name of this 'conversion' firm if they do not respond tp my complaint appropriately.
Cheers
Pam
