glad I could be of help, this is why I posted so every one could benefit from a a cheap fix, not only that we all like to know what miles we have gone not kilometers.

here have you noticed they are showing up on ebay already
theres even one clock surrond with the speedo missing ??
says it will fit both the bongo and 626 maybe but i know the mx6 one fluffs up the fuses
saying that i now have a spare speedo if anyone needs one pm me and we will sort it out and if local will even fit it

Just a thought.
I have no idea if the speedo is the same but a Ford Cougar is a reworking of the MX6 so perhaps shares more parts than just the floorpan and drive train.
I know the Cougar was never that popular but there must almost as many of them as MX6's.
Perhaps if someone finds one in a breakers they could have a look?
