shocked to find this today ....maybe the culprit of my coolant loss its right through to the thread ...scary its been on http://s240.photobucket.com/albums/ff13 ... 9c8c45.jpg new maximum three months ...note to all when fitting hoses silicone or rubber ...make sure they are not touching any moving part........i could'nt make it up :-k

Maybe a stupid question but are the hoses the same on the petrol v6, if so i may be interested aswell.

Hi flippa how long do you think it wil take to change a set of hoses ?
Lost without my Bongo.

mike the hose is therm to metal pipe passengers side.......if thats the driveshaft under there then that was what it was rubbing against .....nasty....3 months old max :roll:

well i was 2 hours into it ....till the light beat me .....that was with a few cuppas and a few roll ups mind :wink: .........plus piccies....plus the shock of that hose :roll:

some are easy some ...if original can be buggers to remove :roll:

Good set of photos there Flippa, all the main hoses seem to be covered - so can I ask Santa to send me set yet?

Blue preferably but any will do, even mixed colours - after all its the hoses that matter in the long run, not the colour.

tis true sue i chose the red ....as i got loads and no -one seems ta want them :? ....can't mix em up though ......there are plenty of blue sets......and whilst i wont be donning my santas outfit ...i will wrap em in crimbo paper if you like :wink:

:-k You would think Red would be popular, as it's a good visual warning when that the hoses could be HOT. :-k

Do you think Red "sticks-out" more, compared to Blue or Black?

agreed brora i had a choice ....and the red seemed the most standoutish if you like...think im going to be lumbered with the black :roll:
