Hi plum, welcome to the whacky world of bongo,s!

It does indeed sound like you have an intermittent solenoid problem.

Dont mention that to the dealer though, let him diagnose the problem as a "starter motor" and then its up to him to stand the cost of a replacement unit under a warranty claim. :wink:

Look apprehensive if he suggests a reconditioned unit.... :wink:

Hi Plum,
Welcome to the lovely mad fury club and Bongo land. It all seems a lot to learn at first but keep asking questions :)
I've had my Ruby Bongo for about two months now and still in love with her.
By the way...I'm a gal as well and live in West sussex so if you need any advice, I may be able to help regarding garages, etc :lol: :lol:

Thank you Marina, I will take you up on that. Took Murdoch back to the place I bought him today and they confirmed it is the starter motor and will change it next week. Was a bit concerned when they said, we've never done a starter on a Bongo ...........................................

A Bongo friendly garage is needed for sure, I did notice I work close to AVA, may have to investigate further.
