It's the earth wire.. I'm surprised you didn't get a slight buzz from the switch when it was working'ish...? Giving the impression of a dodgy switch! :wink:
I did :lol: Thought it was a dirty switch, so bunged some switch cleaner into it and it worked :D - for a couple of days anyway #-o , then silence again :lol: :lol: :lol:

John, yer not the only one... :wink: A little while after i got mine i had an intermittent problem with the windows.. (& a bit of switch buzz.) Looked at the switch & found it had been butchered but just about working!
Looked at the loom.. & the black wire was gone where it goes into the body... :lol:
