Have you checked the roof switch itself? clutching at straws I know

will definatly do so miss... goin to have a maul about wi it again tomoro,but goin away in it saturday,so will have to live with it in 'closed mode'!!

As Mike has mentioned, he had the same problem. Loads of advice was offered & some may relate to your troubles.

fantasic link that munkey.. me heads spinnin now!! prob ive got is although im a mechanic im tryin to do this with a broken shoulder(wife not happy!!!)..

WELL...its like this!
out i goes,multi meter,spanners,screwies,big hammer ect ect (after waitin for the wife t go work..she'd go mad if she knew i were messin about wi me broken shoulder
)
starts her up...presses button... and guess wot????????????
IT WENT UP!!!!!!!!!!!
so...still dont know wot went wrong. ive cleaned up the connectors and white greased all the runners. see how it goes over weekend
!!?? dont ya hate it when that happens

Main thing is it worked
, worth checking all the connections are clean & tight & microswitches are tightly mounted, everything lubed etc, hopefully just an iffy contact somewhere.

Take a piece of rope and the appropriate allen key to lower the roof if it gets stuck open. Good luck

Might just be a tired switch. One of my electric blind switches is a bit dicky and sometimes won't operate the blinds. Maybe spray some of that electrical motor / contact cleaner into it if it does it again and see what happens?
