Given that a V6 doesn't have a vacuum pump are there any vacuum pipes ?

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

oh and welcome
Ady,
checked the pipes but nothing obvious, the hiss when it stops is even more obvious and sounds like it bubbles a bit for a few seconds after, sounds likfrom rear end of pump. Is there an air bleed screw/bolt or am I clutching at straws!!!!
cheers

Re: Fuel Pump bleeding
Is there any sign of fuel leakage around the pump? common problem for seals to go, fact sheet in the members area or info on here if you do a search on "Fuel and pump and seals", diagram here - http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.htmlaffaj ekac wrote:Northern Bongolow wrote:check the air vacuum pipes that are on the pump, sounds like not a fuel leak but an air leak imo

Re: Fuel Pump bleeding
Maybe the return pipe from the fuel rail, there have been some reports of it becoming porous.

Re: Fuel Pump bleeding
Thanks to all for the help. I managed to get it running best it has ever been. I manual pressed the wire under accelerator wire that leads to what i think is the vaccum pump. This seems to have worked for now and as i am probably out my depth for anything more i will run it to a garage and see if they can check all the hoses etc. Many thanks for all the advice, the forum and stuff on here is great for the complete novice like me who wants to try and do some self help.
Cheers
Steph
