Paramedic Training Instructor ?
Given that a V6 doesn't have a vacuum pump are there any vacuum pipes ?

Ady,
checked the pipes but nothing obvious, the hiss when it stops is even more obvious and sounds like it bubbles a bit for a few seconds after, sounds likfrom rear end of pump. Is there an air bleed screw/bolt or am I clutching at straws!!!!

Is there any sign of fuel leakage around the pump? common problem for seals to go, fact sheet in the members area or info on here if you do a search on "Fuel and pump and seals", diagram here -

Maybe the return pipe from the fuel rail, there have been some reports of it becoming porous.

thanks munroman I have got it running now but as i dont know what a fuel rail is I will stop there and be glad ive fixed it for now. Think you may be right though if its the pipe i think it is looks shabby!
