Early days yet but new piston rings & the EGR being blanked off seems to have sorted mine. The start up now is as good as a new one could be expected to be. :D

Have you checked to see if it is oily underneath as well?

If there is a fuel pump leak a lot of it will end up on the back if you drive at any speed.
