Hi
The van has started to refuse to start first time once the glow plug indicator goes out.
Encouragement by pressing the accelorator then a puff of dark smoke and away
anyone know what is causing this ?
The van has been a little juddery on starting the last few weeks just thought it was from lack of milage.
Please advise

sounds like a heater plug is down, could be more than one so probably best change them all if any are suspect.

Does indeed sound like faulty glow plug.

That be my first choice too and sooner the better to get them changed as it starts to mess with the starter motor and other bits then before you know it you need new starter motor new battery etc so for £40ish from mazdabongo.com ( who will advise you on the correct size ) it is a must and fitting them is easy enough lots of info on hear about it and not so long ago
Smoke n stuff

And whatever you do Pips, remember -
You will need to maintain a speed of 215 knots at exactly 60ft
if your tool is to go in and take those plugs out.
Any higher and your tool will bounce straight over the target
