Well here goes guys we have had our bongo 8 mths and thought it was in mph

just had another service and the garage said what alot of milage in 8 mths

which got us thinking so for the first time we did a 70 mile trip to day

and sure enough the odometer was saying different.Was not sure how many miles in a km

so just asked the comp and sure enough it is in km

so this means our bongo has only done 52,166 miles while we thought it had done 84,0025 what a bonus

my bongo has just gained us lots more camping miles

hope its right what do you think

.So we must only have a stick on mph i think

yes you probanly have a new face plate on so it still reads the distance covered as kms

jolly good one problem though the mot last year before we bought it has written in miles not km's can we get this changed or will we just have to point it out in the next one

although can't believe we had not sussed it before now

never mind you live and learn,i've got around 30,000 miles to catch up on better get me thinking cap on

The big snag is that you are no longer getting over 40 mpg.

My bongo reads the same drives in MPH but the odometer is reading in kilommeters..........when we purchased it it was reading 86k Miles or so we thought.........till I noticed we were knocking up the miles ??

....till I checked it out over a registered mile.......it read 1.6.
So there you go a bonus for us to discover it had only done 54 k miles.
It is still returning 33mpg............ checked out lots of time MILES not kilometers .........

Mine had the original dial in Euro clicks (KM's) when i found it, it read 76,800 ish.
It had a new mile dial fitted during prep, (it had to be registered) but the counter still reads as kilometers..
