We're a bit restricted on how far afield we can go at the moment, some of you are aware why this is - but nevertheless we went on a bit of a mystery tour today, anyone any idea where we went?

Apart from the radio telescope, there are two locations

Pics 2-5 are from one location, 6-10 from another.

hi,
well,i went to jodrell bank as a kid,but can`t be sure,but i reckon it could be.the castles.......i reckon i`ve passed the semi ruined castle on my way to somewhere in wales.it`s not powys is it?definitely seen it i think,though.i don`t want to spoil it for anyone else,so could you pm me the location or do i have to guess?

Our guess is Beeston Castle Tarporley, Cheshire and Jodrell Bank.

Not Jodrell Bank, although you're on the right wavelength (cringe) - it's one of the others in the MERLIN network.

Jodrell Bank was 18 miles away in this pic......

Jodrell Bank is much larger than the one we went to today, here’s Jodrell Bank on one of our earlier tours this year…..

Correct - we weren't supposed to be there, it's a hotel now, but we drifted in on the pretext of being interested in staying there (I wish ) and shot a few pics before we were apprehended
