North West Big Autumn Bash - 2nd - 4th October 09

This is just a note for your diaries.

The North West Big Autumn Bash will once again take place at Gibraltar Farm, Silverdale, Lancashire. http://www.gibraltarfarm.co.uk over the weekend of 2nd - 4th October 2009.

This will be our third successive year.

Lots of activities are planned (weather permitting) and we expect to beat our record of 42 bongos attending.

There are only a limited number of hookup pitches (about 16) and booking will open in April on a strictly first come first served basis. Watch this space. PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT ACCEPTING BOOKINGS YET...I need to get my brain in gear first and set the price.
This year bookings must be paid for in full and in advance to avoid the embarrasment of reserving too many pitches and peeps not turning up. Pitch fees will not be refundable but may be transferred to someone else by mutual agreement.

Can some clever b******** please post links to previous Gib Farm meets for those who havn't been before.

Expressions of interest and suggestions for activities can be posted on this thread...BUT NOT BOOKINGS.

We'll be there, as long as the NHS doesn't pick then to fix my wonky knees. If they do, perhaps we'll still come - with me as Cyrano de Silverdale (Edit: Whoops! meant Toulouse Lautrec. Not just retired but retired AND confused ). Might be our first NW bash, unless there's a good one or two in the summer school hols period. Up until mid-July, we're doing a lot of Bongo touring (hopefully including heading SW via Stourport in June), and in between those trips, family, and particularly garden maintenance, commitments will keep us running ragged. I know we all say it after retirement, but neither of us can understand how we ever had time to go to work

We'll probably be there too. Its a little far ahead for being sure at the moment but its a great site and its kind of special because its where I went to my first bongo meet in the panda!
