Blackpool Illuminations, 26th September

Post by Muzorewa » Mon Jul 20, 2009 8:41 am

The Nissan Elgrand club we met at Tatton Park yesterday have invited us to their Blackpool Illuminations tour on Saturday 26th September, meet from 12 noon at Lytham St. Annes lifeboat station (Central Beach, Lytham St. Annes, FY8 5LD).

Lifeboat station guided tours, afternoon barbecue, then at 7pm they have police authorisation for an uninterrupted cruise through the illuminations, finishing around 10pm at the Star carpark. 8)

As long as nobody gets run over by a coach, could be easier than last year

See http://elgrand.ning.com/ for more details

Sounds like being a really fun filled day. :) I have never seen Blackpool illuminations, but too far away for one day only :( Unless of course I can persuade Jimmy to to have a weekend in the Haven caravan site, down the road

I reckon we'll be joining in on this. Last year was a good laugh. We're thinking of finding a site for the sat night so if anyone has been to a good one let me know :)

Son and new fiancee home that w/e. We're already doing a runner to get to Southport Air Show on Sunday, leaving them to get their own lunch and buzz off back to Bristol, so we can't leave them to it on Saturday as well, to get to Blackpool. Pity - looks great in convoy.
