LEAKY AFT

Post by gavin » Mon Jul 20, 2009 8:49 am

Has anyone had a water leak in their roof?

We have just had a week in the New Forest and one night it lashed it down all night. In the morning the inside of the roof was wet on both the sides at the back end. It seemed to be seeping in through the stiching. Has anyone had this problem or tried Fabsil or anything similiar?

Hope there is a simple solution coz we are off again for another week away soon. [-o<

A lot seem to have a problem where the overlapping bit of fabric over the zip is folded up, thus not protecting the zip from wind-driven rain. The folded-up fabric funnels water into the zip and then into the lining, seeping into the inside.

Self-adhesive Velcro seems to be an easy solution.

Thanks for the speedy reply, I will give velcro a try.
