I'm going to change the oil and filter on the van shortly.
I've read that I should change the copper washer when I do it.
Anyone know what size washer I need before I take it all apart??

Golly. I bought one when I did my 1st oil change. Can't remember very well but I think it was a 19mm one, sold in Halfords as suitable for a Vauxhall something or other. But then I got a Pela pump and all my oil changes since have been done by sucking old oil out the dipstick hole. Makes the job an absolute breeze and no need to remove the sump plug. Highly recommended if you've got about £30 to spare and fancy treating yourself.

for 50 years now I have always reused the old one, that could mean 20 oil changes on some vehicles....never had a problem.....

If you need to get a replacement washer the one fitted to a Ford Ranger is the same - any Ford dealer should be able to get you one - I fitted one as my van didn`t have a washer fitted when I bought it.

Usually best to anneal new ones, just to make sure.
