if i could drive it --- it would be over a big cliff

got new hoses for the fuel sensor and really struggled to get them on - must be a trick to this ?
i then proceeded to break the black plastic bit for the vapour one

can you buy these? or is it shell out for a sensor?

afraid the nearest cliff is just too far too push it

You mean the sender unit in the top of the tank?

The trick is to get them warm. Leave them in a bowl of boiling water until you are ready to fit them.

As for the big breather connection - no idea if you can buy them separately, but you can remove them from the sender unit so possibly could get a second hand one. It's just a breather connection - no pressure - can you not bodge it suitably?

Stick a photo of the damage on here for us to have a look?

It was a bit tight, but i put the clip on in the right place on the hose, open up the clip with mole grips by squeezing the tabs together & wiggle it on, wasn't too hard, just a bit awkward on the breather one at the front.
To get the breather back in, take off the big rubber seal that the plastic bit sits in, fit that in the hole then push the plastic bit in, I'd imgine anyone that's replaced a sender ( if thet've still got the old one may have a spare one? or any breakers. If you go for new, you should be able to order one, get the part no off lushprojects - http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.html.
How badly broken is it? could it be repaired, it's only a breather, as long as it does what it's supposed to.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.
