change of fuel supplier blowing smoke
since buying my bongo 3and half years ago ive always filled up at tescos after shopping (5p a litre off if you spend over 50 quid )this week when i was nearly on empty i noticed a shell garage with diesel same price as supermarket so filled up i noticed it said something like diesel extra on the pump within a few miles it was blowing smoke out like mad (everything else seemed same) still starts ok but smokes away like a steam train. could this be the fuel been better and its cleaning things out or has another prob kicked in just as ive changed fuel supply and type. as i said the engine seems fine no overheating or changes in power. views please thanks in advance (done around 40 mile since shell diesel)

Probably just clearing the crap out, how often does it get an "Italian tune up"? (dose of high revs to clear it out)
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

As Kirsty says, it sounds like it's doing the job it's meant to and cleaning your system out - just shows what muck the supermarket fuels are
Use a couple more tankfuls and I bet you'll find it runs a lot better
If you only run on diesel, you may well find a better fuel consumption as well
