Re: auto box problem
You have a problem that is not heat related thats the first thing, its designed to reset if left alone for 30 min or so but will go into limp home mode after 30 of driving and thats what yours is doing
to find what the problem is you need to get the fault code the fact sheet is in the members area on how to get it and read the codes.
or put your location in your profile or give it in a post and we can help a bit better if we know what part of the country you are in

Re: auto box problem
The Launch will not work on the Bongo (or at least mine won't), the vehicle is too early & unsophisticated for a scanner. As westonwarrior says you need to get the fault code(s) out using the procedure detailed in the fact sheet (very simple to do), read the code(s) & if more than one there, note them down then clear them. Now drive the vehicle until the problem re-occurs then re-read the codes, there is every chance you will only have one showing, or at least if you do have more than one you know they are all genuine.
Common codes are TPS, output speed sensor & solenoid issues.
