K&N Air Filters
Has anyone fitted one of these? is an exact fit for the Diesel 2.5l 96/97 available off the shelf? Is there a significant gain in economy/power?

Re: K&N Air Filters
yes
yes
not really. The impact of low resistant filters (such as K&N) are only really noticed with higher performance engines when ordinary filters restrict high air flow into the cylinders when you've got the peddle to the metal.
however, it lasts almost for ever and can be cleaned over and over.

yep......http://www.knfilters.com/news/news.aspx?id=580
Got one myself.......all in I got it as a "fit n forget" type part rather than performance part.....although to be fair the engine will breath easier.......but any power gain...will be minimal
