got my new freda but....

Post by kickinthebongos » Mon Jul 26, 2010 7:38 am

after delays got my freda home on saturday fully serviced, waxyoled and mot'd.

on drive back the oil light flickered on between accelleration and smell of burning at rear.

oil light is now OFF and hasn't come on again and burning smell has stopped to.

could the burning have been the waxyol ?

oil light issue concerns me but maybe to do with recent service?

happy with it overall though :)

its near impossible to seal the underside of any vehicle without hitting the exhaust, with bongo's there's lots of little nooks at the back which are around the exhaust,
have you checked the oil level yourself?

My freda was wax oiled and smelt strongly for about 2-3 weeks, even now when you get very close (  ) it smells.

At first you could smell it inside the cab.

The oil light could be down to the sensor being knocked, as Julian said, check your oil level. If thats fine and it wasn't playing up before then I'd wiggle the sensor and see what happens.
