Is it normal to feel alot of heat under the seats on a 2.0l?

Post by Risoundz » Wed Jul 28, 2010 12:52 am

i did 183miles from the north to London and it was really hot inside the bongo... even the fans were blowing warm air.
I selected to cold and tryed the air con and it was fine but without the air con was a bit to hot compared with other cars.

It's a 2.0 ltr and i'm not sure if it's normal to feel so hot inside.

please help

thanks

Don't forget you are sitting on top of the engine   and heat rises. My V6 needs the AC on most of the time in this weather. Any air coming in is going to be pretty warm, so its AC or all windows open.

It evens up since the extra warmth is very useful when parked up in the usual cold and damp. Just not so good sitting in a Summer jam with the sun beating in :(

Make sure the clamps that hold the seats down are tight & the insulation is all present & intact, but as NFT says, you are sat on top of the engine, why do you think they fitted ac? In the front & back
